In New Delhi, a CEO of an online shopping company named Vivek Gaur was arrested in connection with cheating cases, according to police reports on Wednesday. The arrest took place in Gurgaon, Sector 54. The company he led had garnered investments from various small businesses and investors in India and across borders. It procured raw materials from small businesses in the Delhi-NCR region and issued checks in return but later declared insolvency and shut down. Five complaints were lodged against him. Police disclosed that in 2011, along with an associate, he founded an online shopping company in Gurgaon, where he held the position of CEO, while his friend served as the COO. This company specialized in online retailing of garments and accessories.
